The Enduring Word

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Mark 13:31

There are things in this life that last, and things that pass away. Yet one thing that will never pass away is the Word of God. What a comfort it is to know that we have been given exceedingly great and precious promises from the Lord.(2Peter 1:4) All of God’s promises are in Him “yes and amen!” (2 Cor.1:20) The Word of the Lord stands forever. (1Peter 1:25) God’s Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. (Psalms 119:105) He has exalted His Word above all His name. (Psalm 138:2) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.(2 Timothy 3:16-17) Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matt.7:24) The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.(Isa.40:8)
